Bruce Willis
Bruce Willis, an actor and musician, is known for his sharp-edged character or funny characters in action films. Collectively, he has appeared in films that grossed over $2.5 billion dollars. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German-born actor was born in Idar–Oberstein West Germany on March 19 1955 to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey), who lived at a military base in the United States. The family relocated to the U.S. shortly after he was born, and he was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey where his mother was employed in a bank, while his father was a welding and factory worker. Willis started to take an interest in dramatic arts at high school. He was "discovered" as a bartender in the cafe in a New York City cafe. Then, he was a part of numerous off-Broadway productions. One evening, Willis was working as a bartender and was noticed by a casting supervisor who was impressed by his character. He needed a bartender to play a small role in a film. Willis auditioned for a variety of roles in movies, but was not acknowledged. He eventually got the role as David Addison, a private eye, along with Cybill Shepherd, in the romantic comedy show Moonlighting (1985). His sarcastic humor and wittiness as a P.I. is one of the most memorable of his professional career. is considered by some to be an opportunity to practice for the part of the hard-boiled NYC detective "John McClane" in the cult film Die Hard (1988), in which Willis' character single-handedly battled an uncompromising gang of international thieves within the Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990), he reprised the role. The group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to restore a corrupt South American general. They are set in Washington's Dulles International Airport. The sequel, Die Hard with Avengeance (1995), was a hit. The film starred Samuel L. Jackson as an unrepentant Harlem shopowner who is forced to aid McClane during a terrorist attack in the midst of a scorching New York day.
