Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. A year later Felix won her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a participant in her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her events.
