Mischa Barton

Barton is an British American actor, is a part of the cast in television, film as well as theatre. Barton has made her New York City debut at the Lincoln Center with Tony Kushner's Slavs! She was also the lead part in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actress, with an appearance on the show All My Children. She was also a voice actor in the animated show of Nickelodeon KaBlam! Between 1996 and 1997, she was the voice of an character on the Nickelodeon animated show KaBlam! The first time she was recognized for her acting was Lawn Dogs, a drama that starred Sam Rockwell. The films she has starred in are M. Night Shyamalan's psycho action thriller The Sixth Sense (1998) as well as the romance comedy Notting Hill (1998). In 1999, she was in the Pups series, an indie crime drama. Barton was later seen as Rachel Wood's girlfriend on ABC's Once and Again 2001 and the drama that was an independent production Lost and Delirious (2002). On the Fox show The O.C.'s season between 2003 and 2006, she was Marissa Cooper. She won two Teen Choice Awards for the part. Barton was voted the "It girl in 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played Marissa Cooper's role. Barton has since appeared in the comedic St Trinian's and the dramatic Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring.
