Megan Gale
Gale was a winner of a modeling contest in Perth at the age of 18. After many years of modeling, Gale rose to fame as she was selected in 1999 as a model in a string of advertisements for an Italian telecom company called Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) and she was featured in the advertisements of the company until. She was also retained as a model by the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as 'their face of Australia and Italy'. Gale has appeared on the covers of Australian Marie Claire Grazia Gioia Italian Maxim Australian InStyle, Australian Marie Claire, Italian GQ and Australian GQ and was also featured in Vogue Italia and Australian Cosmopolitan editorials. Gale has worked as a model for Italian fashion houses such as Gianfranco Ferre, Genny, Gai Mattiolo as well as runway shows for Mariella Burani as well as Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale has also been a big fan of a variety of Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. She served as the fashion editor for the Australian television awards in the year 2006 (the Logies). Gale retired from modelling runways at the beginning of January in 2008, having worked for 15 years. She walked her last runway at the David Jones Winter Collection Launch in Sydney just two weeks after. Her final outfit was her Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the upcoming movie Justice League of America. Gale was back on runways in the month of March 2011 to complete Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. Gale celebrated her 10th year anniversary with David Jones in August 2011 which was the longest-running fashion contract held by an Australian. Gale joined Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris in the same month. Gale was in commercials in the name of L'Oreal in Australia and New Zealand. She also performed in Italy.
