Mena and Missy

Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is a model and actress in the US. Her modeling career began in 1990 and soon moved into acting following appearances in television shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. She made her film debut in 1997's dramatic film Nowhere. After her performances of American Beauty (for which she received the BAFTA Award) and American Pie that attracted much attention, she completed her transition into major role. Her next role was Loser (2000) which was a co-production with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the role of the title character on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun the independent drama that aired in 2002, and the action movie Trauma (2004), were her two most recent appearances. She also starred on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, she was cast in several films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari models on behalf of Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she has also appeared in a variety of blogs and magazines like Vogue. She has supported and been an advocate of the African Medical and Research Foundation for a number of years. She has also been active on issues of empowerment and empowerment for women and charities that promote breast cancer research as well as End Violence Against Women.
